About
Amanda graduated from Hunter College in New York with a double major in art history and sociology. She has worked in art education and non-profit administration for the past several years. Her love of photography began in 1999, when she was given a camera as a gift. She began studying photography books and experimenting. It quickly went from an interest to a passion. Her photographs capture a broad range of subjects, from the intrigue of discarded objects to the simplicity of nature. Through her photographs, she mainly explores modern decay and its “psychic leftovers.” Amanda also enjoys documenting the unusual, from gardens of gigantic heads to decaying Gingerbread Castles.
